Will the ShockStop Seatpost work with the Giant Revolt D shaped (D-fuse) seatpost?Updated a month ago

The ShockStop Seatpost cannot be inserted directly into your Giant Revolt because the bike uses Giant's proprietary D-Fuse (D-shaped) seatpost. However, you can achieve compatibility by using a special Giant adapter that converts the D-Fuse seat tube to accept a standard round seatpost.

To make this work, follow these steps:

  1. Obtain the Adapter: You must first get the Giant-made adapter. This part should have been included with your bike, so check your small parts box or look inside your seat tube. If you can't find it, contact your local Giant Dealer to track one down.

  2. Choose Your ShockStop: Once the adapter is installed (creating a 30.9 mm opening), you have two options for the ShockStop:

    • Select the ShockStop Endurance model in the 30.9 mm size, which fits the adapter directly.

    • Alternatively, choose the Pro Endurance or Pro Race model in the standard 27.2 mm size, and use a 27.2 mm to 30.9 mm shim to make up the difference.

  3. Determine Length: To find the correct length to purchase, measure your current seatpost from the seat collar to the saddle rails. You will then reference this measurement against the ShockStop sizing chart (usually Column B) to find the correct total post length (e.g., if your measurement is 275 mm, you would likely purchase the 400 mm length post).
