Is the ShockStop seatpost compatible with the rear light on Specialized Vado?Updated a month ago

For Vado models up to 2022 the light wire can not be run through the ShockStop due to the pre load screw and springs that are located internally. We have had customers run the wire externally by drilling a small hole in the bottom bracket area and up the seat tube, held in place with electrical tape or zip ties. The best, and more appropriate method we have heard from Vado users, is to simply disconnect the light wire and purchase a rear rechargeable light.

Models from 2022 onward do not have the light wiring through the seatpost, so there are no compatibility issues running the ShockStop Seatpost!
